The shaniwar wada fort is located in the center of Pune, Maharashtra at a distance of 3 km from Pune junction railway station. Shaniwar wada fort is considered as one of the top tourist places to visit in Pune city.

The name of the fort is Shaniwar wada where Shani means Saturday (in hindi) and Wada means home/residence. As the foundation of this fort was carried out on Saturday therefore the name was given Shaniwar wada.

How to reach –

You can reach Shaniwar wada fort via bus, auto or cab. It is 3 km away from Pune railway station.

It is open daily 8 am to 5 pm.

 

Aga Khan Palace –

1. Balekilla (highest part in the Rajgad fort)

2. Suvela (situated in the eastern part of Rajgad fort)

3. Sanjeevani (located on the south west end)
